Read your dashboard
A short walkthrough of the six cards on your Family Office Dashboard, in the order worth reading them.
Your Dashboard packs a lot onto one screen. Read it in this order and it tells a story: what you have, how it moved, what's coming, and whether it's arranged the way you intended.
Steps
Top left. Assets minus what you owe in Liabilities is your Net Worth.
Below that, the split that usually matters most: Investments Assets is the investable portion, Family Assets is everything else you own, and Cash & Equivalents is what's liquid right now.
The Performance card, top middle. Choose your period from the first dropdown — Yesterday/Last Close for the overnight move, Year to Date for the year so far, Since Inception for the whole history.
Then choose how the return is measured. Simple Return is the plain change in value. Total Return (TWR) strips out the effect of money you moved in or out, which is the fairer measure of how your investments themselves performed.
The Estimated Cash Flow card, top right. By default it projects the Next Twelve Months.
Scan for the two lines that create surprises: Capital Calls & Asset Maturities, which is money you may be called on to provide, and Income Tax.
Bottom left. Goal is where you meant to be, Actual is where you are, and Drift is the gap.
A large drift is the signal to rebalance. If you've never set goals, use the ⋮ menu → Reset Goals to start from where you actually are, then adjust.
The Benchmark card, bottom middle. Alpha is the number to read — positive means you beat your benchmark over the selected period, negative means you trailed it.
If the card is empty, you haven't chosen benchmarks yet. Use the ⋮ menu to set them.
Bottom right, Family Office Details. Worth a glance the first time: your Default Currency and Domicile State shape figures across the whole app, and Domicile State drives your tax estimates.
