Dashboard questions

Short answers to the questions people ask most about the Annise Dashboard — what each number means, why one is missing, and how to change what the figures cover.

What is my Net Worth on the Dashboard?

Net Worth is the sum of your Assets and your Liabilities. It appears on the top-left card of your Family Office Dashboard.

Why does a number show -- instead of a value?

-- means Annise doesn't have enough data to calculate that figure yet. It's a missing input, not an error.

Why is my IRR blank?

Annise only calculates IRR for investments held longer than 90 days. Results are also capped between -100% and 1,000%.

Why doesn't MOIC reflect a transaction I just entered?

MOIC recalculates every 10 minutes, so it can lag your latest transactions and prices by a few minutes. Reload the page after a short wait.

What's the difference between Simple Return and Total Return (TWR)?

Simple Return is the absolute and percentage change in value over the period, without adjusting for the impact of cash flows. Total Return (TWR) measures the compounded rate of growth over the period, counting both price changes and income generated, while offsetting the impact of money you moved in or out.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is your return above or below your benchmark over the selected period. Positive means you outperformed it; negative means you trailed it.

Why is Alpha missing from my Benchmark card?

Alpha isn't calculated for the Intraday period. Choose a longer period and it reappears.

What does Drift mean on the Allocation card?

Drift is the gap between your Goal percentage for an asset class and the Actual percentage you currently hold. Hover the Drift column header to see exactly how it's being calculated for your goals.

How do I reset my allocation goals?

On the Allocation card, open the ⋮ menu and choose Reset Goals. Every goal is set to match your actual allocation.

What's the difference between In-Month Estimates and In-Month Actuals?

On the Estimated Cash Flow card, In-Month Estimates uses only Annise's estimates for the current period, while In-Month Actuals uses only actual transaction data for the current period. Both use the same basis for future periods.

How do I see my figures in a different currency?

Use the currency selector in the top bar. It restates the figures on screen. It doesn't change your Family Office's Default Currency, which is set in Family Office Details.

Why is my Dashboard showing outlines instead of numbers?

That's the empty state. It appears until you've added your first account or holding.

My numbers look out of date. What do I do?

Use Refresh All Data at the bottom of the sidebar. It clears what Annise has cached and reloads the page from scratch.

What does the green dot in the top bar mean?

It's your data status indicator. Green means All good! If it isn't green, click it for a list of what needs attention — usually a transaction inconsistency, a balance mismatch, or an account that needs re-authenticating.
