Location questions
Short answers about the Annise Location tab — what gets plotted on the map, why some holdings are missing, clusters, asset-group filters, and how it differs from the Geographies chart.
What does the Location tab show?
A world map of your holdings. Each pin is a place, and clicking one shows the holdings there with their value and gain or loss.
Why isn't one of my holdings on the map?
Annise only plots holdings it has an address for. Anything without a recorded location doesn't appear. Add an address to the holding, then refresh the map.
Why does my map look emptier than my portfolio?
Because it shows located holdings only. If most of what you own is listed securities rather than physical assets, relatively few will have an address on file. It's fullest for real estate and other physical holdings.
What's the difference between Location and the Geographies chart?
The Geographies chart on Analytics splits all your holdings by where their exposure sits. Location plots the individual holdings that have a physical address. Use Geographies for a complete geographic breakdown, and Location to see where things actually are.
What is the numbered circle on the map?
A cluster — several nearby places grouped into one marker. The number is how many it covers. Zoom in and it breaks apart into smaller clusters and eventually single pins.
Why is there a single pin in New York when I have nothing on the map?
That's a sample pin Annise shows while the map is empty. It isn't one of your holdings, and it goes away once you have located holdings to plot.
How do I filter the map?
Use the asset-group filters. Assets cover Alternative, Cash, Equity, Fixed Income, Private Credit, Private Equity and Real Estate; liabilities cover Line Of Credit and Mortgage. Select All turns everything on at once.
Can one pin hold more than one holding?
Yes. Holdings registered to the same address share a pin, and the card steps through them — use the arrows to move between them.
What does the card on a pin show?
The holding's name and value, plus its gain or loss for the period as both an amount and a percentage.
I added an address but the map hasn't changed. Why?
Location data is cached for a few minutes. Use the refresh control to reload it.
What is the AI icon on the Location tab?
It opens an AI agent that assesses macro and geopolitical risk for what you're currently viewing.
