Statements questions

Short answers about the Annise Statements tab — which statements are available, how to change the period, comparing two periods, and saving report templates.

What statements does Annise provide?

Balance Sheet, Income, Cashflow, Estimated Tax, and Gain/Loss. General Ledger and Trial Balance appear in the row but aren't available yet.

Why can't I open General Ledger or Trial Balance?

Neither is built yet. Hovering either one shows Feature coming soon.

Why don't I see all the statement types?

Which statements are available depends on your plan. See the Plans & Pricing page for what each tier includes.

How do I change the period a statement covers?

Use the period selector at the top of the tab. It ranges from a single day out to twelve months ahead, and includes combined views such as Last Quarter/This Quarter/Next Quarter.

How do I switch statement columns from months to years?

Change Group By to Year. You can also choose Month or Quarter. It changes how columns are broken up, not the period covered.

Can Annise show future periods?

Yes. The period selector includes forward ranges such as Next Month, Next Quarter, and Next Twelve Months, which is what makes the Cashflow statement useful for planning.

What does the Cashflow statement show?

It runs from Cash - Beginning of Period to Cash - End of Period, with the movements between them: Trades & Maturities, Capital Calls & Maturities, Net Draws (Credit & Mortgages), Cash In/Out, After Taxes, After Fees, and Non Cash Adjustments.

How do I see the detail behind a row?

Rows with an arrow beside them expand. Click the arrow to see the items that make up the total.

Can I compare two periods?

Yes. Use the Comparison Report control to set a Period and a Prior Period, and define the range for each.

Can I save a report layout I use often?

Yes. Custom Template lets you choose columns and table structure, then save the arrangement. Once saved, the button becomes Save Template or Update Template. Templates can be shared.

Can I export a statement?

Yes. Click the download icon above the table and choose CSV (.csv). It exports the statement as you're currently viewing it, including your period, grouping and columns.

Can I download a statement as PDF or Excel?

PDF (.pdf) and Excel (.xlsx) are offered on the Balance Sheet when you have a custom template selected. On every other statement the download menu offers CSV only.

Why does my download menu only show CSV?

CSV is available everywhere. PDF and Excel appear only on the Balance Sheet with a custom template selected — create one under Custom Template and the other formats become available.

Where do I find the Estimated Tax statement?

It's one of the statement sub-tabs on the Statements tab.
