Insights
The Insights tab is where Annise tells you what it has noticed — alerts on your holdings, data quality notices, platform updates, and messages within your Family Office, filtered by type, date, level and read status.
Insights is where Annise tells you what it has noticed — smart insights into your holdings, trends, and performance, so you can make better, faster decisions.
How it works
Insights is a running list, newest first. Each row tells you:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date | When the insight was raised, to the minute. |
| Message | What happened. |
| Type | An icon showing where the insight came from. Hover it for the name. |
| Level | A coloured chip for the part of your Family Office it applies to. |
| Name | The specific entity, account or holding, linked so you can jump straight to it. |
Where insights come from
Every insight carries a Type, shown as an icon in the list. Hover it to see the name.
| Type | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Portfolio | Activity and thresholds on your holdings — price and allocation alerts, trades, income, maturities, and trade summaries. |
| Annise Alert | Account review status and report generation. |
| Data Quality | The data behind your securities — new securities, price and metadata changes, and transaction processing. |
| Platform Alert | Annise itself and your connections — accounts needing re-login, benchmark and tax settings, and market closures. |
| Family Office | Activity within your Family Office — member access changes, account connections, and setting updates. |
| Security | Sign-ins and password resets on your account. |
| Annise Support | Messages between you and the Annise team. |
Levels
The Level chip tells you how far up an insight applies — Family Office, Entity, Account, or Managers & Advisors. Each has its own colour, so you can scan the list by scope without reading every row.
Trusts appear as "Entity". An insight about a trust is labelled Entity rather than Trust.
Using it
Filtering the list
The filter button above the list opens a Custom Filter dialog built in two steps. In Step 1 pick what you want to filter on — Type, Date Range, or Read / Unread filter — then choose the values in Step 2:
- Type — any one of the eight sources above
- Date Range — Today, Yesterday, This Week, or a custom range
- Read / Unread filter — Read or Unread
An Include Archived Messages toggle sits at the bottom of the dialog. ADD FILTER applies your choice and RESET clears the dialog.
Applied filters appear as chips above the list. Remove one with its ×, or drop them all with Clear All.
Searching
The search box filters the list by text, and works alongside whichever filters you've set.
Acting on insights
Tick the checkbox on any row — or the one in the header to take everything — then use the buttons above the list to Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, Archive, or Delete. Refresh re-checks for anything new.
Archiving keeps an insight without leaving it in your way. It stays available behind Include Archived Messages, unlike deleting.
Opening one
Click a row to open it. From there you can Print it, Reply to it, or Forward it to someone else in your Family Office.
Assessing a holding
Rows about public and proprietary holdings carry an AI agent icon that assesses that company's risk and insights in the context of your portfolio. See AI agents for how the agents work.
Troubleshooting
Annise hasn't raised anything yet. Insights fill in as your accounts sync and Annise has something worth telling you.
Check your filters first — a Type, Date Range or Read / Unread chip left set will hide everything outside it. Clear All removes them in one go. If it's still missing, it may have been archived — switch on Include Archived Messages in the filter dialog.
Nothing is lost. Turn on Include Archived Messages in the filter dialog to bring archived insights back into the list.
That's expected. Trust-level insights are labelled Entity.
It's now called Insights. Same tab, renamed.
