Statements
The Statements tab holds your Balance Sheet, Income, Cashflow, Estimated Tax and Gain/Loss statements over a period you choose, with period comparison and saveable report templates.
The Statements tab is where your Family Office reads as a set of financial statements rather than as cards and charts. Pick a statement, pick a period, and Annise builds it from your accounts, holdings and transactions.
How it works
Statements sit as a row of sub-tabs across the top of the tab. Each one covers the period you've selected, and every statement redraws when you change that period.
The statements available
| Statement | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Balance Sheet | Total assets, liabilities and net worth at a point in time. |
| Income | Income and expenses over the period. |
| Cashflow | Money flowing into and out of the portfolio over the period. |
| Estimated Tax | Projected tax payment obligations based on investment income. |
| Gain/Loss | Realized gains and losses on investments you've sold. |
General Ledger and Trial Balance also appear in the row. They aren't available yet — hovering either one shows Feature coming soon.
Which statements you see depends on your plan. See Statements on the Plans & Pricing page for what each tier includes.
Choosing the period
Two controls shape every statement:
- The period selector covers ranges from a single day out to twelve months ahead — options include This Month, This Quarter, Last Quarter, Next Twelve Months, and combined views such as Last Quarter/This Quarter/Next Quarter.
- Group By sets how the columns are broken up: Month, Quarter, or Year.
Forward-looking periods are what make the Cashflow statement a planning tool rather than only a record of what happened.
Reading the Cashflow statement
The Cashflow statement runs from the cash you started with to the cash you ended with, with the movements in between:
- Cash - Beginning of Period
- Trades & Maturities
- Capital Calls & Maturities
- Net Draws (Credit & Mortgages)
- Cash In/Out
- After Taxes
- After Fees
- Non Cash Adjustments
- Cash - End of Period
Rows with an arrow beside them expand to show what makes them up.
Using it
Comparing two periods
The Comparison Report pill puts a period next to a prior period so you can read the change between them. You set both the Period and the Prior Period, and can define the exact range for each.
Saving a layout you'll want again
Custom Template lets you set which columns appear and how the table is structured, then save that arrangement. Once you've saved one, the button becomes Save Template or Update Template as you work. Saved templates can be shared.
Downloading a statement
The download icon above the table exports what you're currently looking at.
- CSV (.csv) is available on every statement.
- PDF (.pdf) and Excel (.xlsx) appear as well when you're viewing the Balance Sheet with a custom template selected.
So if you need a statement as a PDF or a spreadsheet rather than raw CSV, build it as a Balance Sheet custom template first. The download reflects your current period, grouping and columns.
Troubleshooting
Neither is available yet. Hovering either shows Feature coming soon.
Available statement types vary by plan — check Plans & Pricing.
Change Group By to Year. It controls how columns are broken up without changing the period covered.
CSV is offered on every statement. PDF and Excel are additionally available on the Balance Sheet when a custom template is selected — build one under Custom Template and the extra formats appear.
Rows with an arrow beside them expand. Click the arrow to see the underlying items.
