Settings that belong to a Family Office live in two places: the Settings menu in the sidebar, and the Family Office Details card on the Dashboard. Settings that belong to you live in your profile instead.

The Settings menu

Open Settings in the sidebar for everything that configures the Family Office you're in.

SettingWhat it's for
AlertsThe alerts this Family Office raises, and the thresholds behind them.
Allocation GoalsThe target allocation your holdings are measured against, shown on the Dashboard Allocation card and on Analytics.
BenchmarksThe benchmarks used for comparison on the Chart and on Analytics.
Default NotificationsThe starting point for how members of this Family Office are notified.
Income TaxesTax rates by state, including marginal and effective rates, feeding the tax estimates across Annise.
PermissionsWho belongs to this Family Office and what each member can see and edit.
SubscriptionYour plan and billing details.

For what each plan includes, see Plans & Pricing rather than the Subscription page.

Who sees what

The menu isn't the same for everyone.

  • Members with admin rights see all of it.
  • View-only members see Alerts, Allocation Goals and Benchmarks only.
  • Advisors don't see Permissions.

So a setting you've been told about but can't find is usually a role difference rather than a missing feature — your profile's Access tab shows the role you hold.

Estate Taxes appears in the menu but isn't available yet.

Family Office Details

On the Dashboard, the Family Office Details card holds the Family Office's own identity:

FieldWhat it is
Family Office NameWhat this Family Office is called throughout Annise.
Default CurrencyThe currency every figure falls back to.
Domicile StateThe state this Family Office is domiciled in, which feeds its tax estimates.

If Domicile State hasn't been set, the card offers to add it.

Editing

Members with admin rights get a menu on the card with two actions:

  • Edit — change the details above
  • Delete Family Office — remove the Family Office entirely

Deleting a Family Office cannot be undone. Everything belonging to it goes with it.

Without admin rights the card is read-only.

Troubleshooting

Your role decides what appears. View-only members see only Alerts, Allocation Goals and Benchmarks, and advisors don't see Permissions. Check the Access tab of your profile for the role you hold.

Editing needs admin rights on that Family Office. Without them the card is read-only and the menu doesn't appear.

Default Currency on the Family Office Details card is the fallback for the whole Family Office. The currency selector in the top bar changes your current view without changing that default.

Check Domicile State on the Family Office Details card and the rates under Settings → Income Taxes. Your own Country, State and Tax City live separately in your profile.

No benchmarks have been chosen yet. Set them under Settings → Benchmarks, then switch the Benchmark line on.
