Dashboard
The Dashboard is your Family Office home screen — net worth, performance, expected cash flow, allocation, and benchmarks on a single page, with tabs across the top for every other view.
The Dashboard is where Annise opens. Six cards answer the questions you ask most often — what am I worth, how did I do, what's coming in and going out, am I invested the way I intended, and how does that compare to the market.
How it works
Each card summarizes your whole Family Office. Change the currency in the top bar and every figure on the page follows.
Cards fill in as your data loads, so numbers may appear a moment apart. A -- means Annise doesn't have enough data to calculate that figure yet.
Until you've added your first account or holding, the Dashboard shows outline illustrations instead of numbers.
Consolidated Net Worth
Your total picture, broken into its parts. At Family Office level the card is titled Consolidated Net Worth.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Assets | Everything you own. |
| Liabilities | Everything you owe. |
| Investments Assets | The investable portion of your assets. |
| Family Assets | Non-investment assets — property, vehicles, personal items. |
| Managed Assets | Value the Family Office oversees but does not wholly own: advisor-managed holdings plus assets held outside the Family Office. |
| Cash & Equivalents | Cash and short-term liquid holdings. |
| MOIC | How much value an investment has generated since inception. |
| IRR | The rate at which the present value of cash flows equals the value of the investment. |
Net Worth is the sum of Assets and Liabilities.
Managed Assets appears at Family Office level only.
MOIC updates every 10 minutes, so it may not reflect your very latest transactions and prices. IRR is only calculated for investments held longer than 90 days, and results are capped between -100% and 1,000%.
Performance
How your portfolio moved over a period you choose.
Pick the period from the dropdown — Intraday, Yesterday/Last Close, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, Last Quarter, Year to Date, Last Twelve Months, Last Year, Since Inception, or Custom Date Range. The dates beside it show the exact range being measured.
Then pick how the return is calculated:
- Simple Return — the absolute and percentage change in value over the period, without adjusting for the impact of cash flows.
- Price Return (TWR) — the compounded rate of growth over the period, counting only price changes and offsetting the impact of cash flows.
- Total Return (TWR) — the compounded rate of growth over the period, counting both price changes and income generated, while offsetting the impact of cash flows.
Beneath the headline figure: Income, Total Income (incl. gain/loss), Fees, and Interest Payments.
Estimated Cash Flow
What Annise expects to move in and out over a horizon you choose — by default, the Next Twelve Months.
The second dropdown controls what the current month is based on:
- In-Month Estimates — uses only Annise's estimates for the current period.
- In-Month Actuals — uses only actual transaction data for the current period.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Income | Expected income over the horizon. |
| Gross Yield | Expected annual interest payments as a percentage of portfolio value. |
| Fees | Expected fees. |
| Income Tax | Expected income tax. |
| Capital Calls & Asset Maturities | Expected Capital Call obligations and Maturities. |
| Net Draws & Amortization | Expected net draws and amortization. |
Allocation
Where your money actually sits, against where you meant it to sit.
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Goal | Your target percentage for that asset class. |
| Actual | The percentage you currently hold. |
| Drift | The gap between the two. |
Hover the Goal and Drift headers to see whether the goal was set by you or by Annise, and how drift is being calculated.
The ⋮ menu offers Edit to change your goals, and Reset Goals, which sets every allocation goal to match your actual allocation.
Benchmark
How your portfolio compares to the benchmarks you've chosen.
Each benchmark shows its Weight and its Performance. Beneath them:
- Benchmark Price Return — the weighted average performance of the benchmarks you selected.
- Price Return (TWR) — your portfolio's own price return over the same period.
- Alpha — your return above or below the benchmark. Positive means you outperformed.
Alpha isn't shown when the period is set to Intraday.
The ⋮ menu takes you to your benchmark settings.
Family Office Details
Your Family Office's configuration at a glance: Family Office Name, Default Currency, Domicile State, and Subscription. Domicile State links through to Settings → Income Taxes; Subscription links to your plan.
If you have Family Office admin rights, the ⋮ menu offers Edit and Delete Family Office.
Using it
The tabs across the top
The Dashboard is the first of several tabs on your Family Office. Use the arrows at either end of the strip if the tabs don't all fit.
| Tab | What you'll find |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | The six summary cards above. |
| Chart | Your net worth plotted over time. |
| Statements | Your Statements — cash flow, income, and balance sheet views. |
| Analytics | Deeper analysis of allocation, risk, and exposure. |
| Insights | Analysis and observations about your portfolio. |
| Members | The people who have access to your Family Office. |
| Owners | Your entities and individual owners. |
| Accounts | Every account you've connected or added. |
| Account Holdings | Your holdings, grouped by the account that holds them. |
| Private Holdings | Your private and non-traded holdings. |
| Location | Your assets plotted on a world map. |
| Documents | Files you've uploaded to the Family Office. |
| Notes | Notes kept against the Family Office. |
Changing what the numbers cover
The currency selector at the top of the page restates every figure in the currency you pick. The period and horizon dropdowns on the Performance and Estimated Cash Flow cards only affect their own card.
Troubleshooting
That's the empty state — it appears until you've added your first account or holding. Connect an account or add a holding and the cards fill in.
Annise doesn't have enough data to calculate it yet. For IRR, that usually means the investment has been held for less than 90 days. For benchmark rows, it usually means no benchmark has been selected yet.
Alpha isn't calculated for the Intraday period. Choose a longer period and it reappears.
MOIC recalculates every 10 minutes. Give it a few minutes, then reload the page.
Use Refresh All Data at the bottom of the left sidebar. It clears what Annise has cached and reloads the page from scratch.
